Scotland’s first Dazzle Ship, Every Woman, created by Turner Prize-nominated artist Ciara Phillips to commemorate the centenary of World War One, will be on display for its final few weeks in Prince of Wales Docks in Edinburgh before closing on 31st January 2017.
Scotland’s first dazzle ship, a piece titled Every Woman by artist Ciara Phillips, was today unveiled on Prince Alexander Dock, Leith by Edinburgh Art Festival, the UK’s largest annual festival of visual arts, and 14-18 NOW, the UK’s arts programme for the First World War centenary. Phillips has “dazzled” MV Fingal, marking 100 years since the Battle of Jutland.
Local residents and visitors to Fife, Edinburgh and The Lothians are being urged to get along to South Queensferry this Saturday 28 May for a series of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Jutland, the largest naval battle of the First World War. Read more
